2021 started extremely well for our training team as we once again delivered BIM training for the UK’s Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

We first started delivering CIOB BIM training in 2017 as in-person workshops; the BIM Management course transitioned to online classrooms last June, and we have delivered many courses in this format over the past eight months.

Our virtual learning replicates our face-to-face workshops in terms of content, but we have designed the online classroom activity to be more engaging and interactive to improve learning transfer and increase time efficiency.

Delivered over one day, the BIM Management course includes practical information, case studies and trainer-led discussion. It focuses on BIM Management principles according to the BS EN ISO 19650 series, as well as the process of reviewing appointing party documentation in order to tender on a project according to the ISO 19650 requirements. It also details how to create key documents for your project, including the BIM Execution Plan.

This course gives our delegates the ability to explain to internal and external stakeholders the importance of BIM and how clearly defined information requirements at the very beginning can provide great benefits to a project.

It is important for BIM Management professionals to be able to define the key responsibilities of BIM management throughout all stages of a project lifecycle in line with an information delivery cycle and manage all the related documentation and information. This course not only equip delegates with a new set of skills for project implementation, but instils empowerment, enabling greater digital understanding and showing how to maximise asset information.
