Wates Group is one of the largest privately-owned construction, development and property services companies in the UK. They approached us to author and deliver a new series of bespoke training programmes for the development of new digital construction skills across the business.

Our team of industry training experts created specifically tailored BIM training matching Wates requirements for staff development and understanding of BIM adoption and implementation.

In February 2019, after assessing current capabilities and identifying skills gaps, Digital Node produced a strategic training plan. After the initial skills assessment, we wrote the bespoke training content to match Wates’ operational, functional and technical business needs.

This newly developed content is divided into three core courses, incorporating face-to-face in-house training and online e-learning modules for the teams to take in at their own pace.

These new BIM training programmes are being delivered across all divisions of Wates in the UK, together with members of the Wates supply chain.

This training comes at a time when Wates is making commitments to be an inclusive and connected employer; providing new training opportunities is just a part of an ongoing programme of business growth.
