Our work continues for the second half of 2020 with the delivery of more BIM training for the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in the UK.

In the coming months we will be delivering online training on BIM Foundation and BIM Management.

Over a period of six one-hour training sessions, the BIM Foundation course will discuss BIM fundamentals and how the use of industry standards to control the process can ultimately lead to greater productivity on built projects.

We look at how to solve these common issues quickly and effectively with confidence, using best practice, case studies and examples.

The first session will begin with an overview of the fundamentals of BIM and follow on to how BIM can lead to greater productivity and efficiency, the importance of roles and functions on a BIM Project, and an overview of the concepts and principles of BS EN ISO 19650.

The final sessions will cover Information Delivery Cycle and Documentation and links between Project and Asset Information.

Sessions will run from 9.00 AM -10.00 AM BST every Tuesday from the 25th August 2020for six weeks. Further information and how to book can be found on the CIOB website.

BIM Management is a one-day online training course which focuses on the requirements and skills delegates need to qualify as a BIM management professional in line with ISO 19650.

The course covers the process of reviewing appointing party documentation in order to tender on a project according to the ISO 19650 series, development and delivery of information models in line with the appointing party documentation, and the creation of key documents across a project including the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

It is important for BIM Management professionals to be able to define the key responsibilities of BIM management throughout all stages of a project lifecycle in line with an information delivery cycle and manage all the related documentation and information.

This course not only equip delegates with a new set of skills for project implementation, but will instil empowerment, enable greater digital understanding and show them how to maximise asset information.

The next available dates are next available dates are Thursday 3 September 2020 and Tuesday 10 November 2020. Further details on this course, and how to book, can be found on the CIOB website.
