This is a two-day course focusing on the practical application of BIM for your organisation or project.
This course has been developed to address the lack of practical education when it comes to BIM, and how BIM can be managed across a project to evaluate the key responsibilities of a BIM Manager. It is aimed at all those working on BIM projects to alleviate and review any misconceptions and inconsistencies with terminology. This course will demystify the role requirements of a BIM Manager.
The cost for each day of this course is £375+VAT (UK & International) or AU $750+GST per person.
The purpose of this course is to educate on a consistent methodology and framework for a BIM or Digital Engineering project. The course will address and show delegates how to practically implement BIM and Digital Engineering and key documentation which will need to be created to support a BIM project.
This course is aimed at all individuals who work in the design, construction and operation of built assets who work within the context of a BIM project, or who will need to practically manage a BIM project and documentation which supports this process.
The learning outcomes associated to this course align to the globally exemplar UK BIM Learning outcomes framework now being used to support education and skills content globally across the construction industry.
- Understand how to review a briefing document (EIR/PIR) to adequately tender on a BIM project.
- Learn how to create key documentation for BIM including a BIM Execution Plan, a Model Production and Delivery Table (or Model Element Table), the requirements of Models in regard to LOD and how to understand the way in which these documents progress.
- Understand key technologies which support BIM and how they can impact / provide benefits to your projects.
- Be able to support the creation/ strategy of role requirements, training implications and project
management principles when it comes to BIM.
