Studio Klascha are a small sized Architectural practice well on their journey to BIM and advanced data analysis and extraction on projects. Their main focus now remains in the scan to BIM process from such tools as Bentley AecoSIM and Pointools, as well as Autodesk Revit.
Digital Node supported Studio Klascha on their implementation of IFC from Bentley AecoSIM to Autodesk Revit.
The services involved:
- Advanced mapping of IFC 2×3 from AecoSIM utilising standard tools as well as advanced IFC tools to link the data and geometry to Autodesk Revit.
- Workshops sessions involving IFC mapping from Autodesk Revit.
- Client engagement between Studio Klascha and major contractors regarding utilising BIM on existing projects.
‘Rebecca came into the office to provide consultancy when we were taking our first steps with IFC to Revit conversion, her broad knowledge of the detailed inner workings of the software and her connections with the relevant developers within Autodesk enabled us to quickly understand the differences between Revit and Bentley AECOSIM, our authoring platform, and to quickly establish a brief for the scripted transformations that we perform on the IFC files after import into Revit. I’d recommend her to anyone seeking to develop advanced systems with Revit’.
