BIM Show Live is the UK’s original BIM conference and one of the most highly respected platforms for delivery of BIM and digital construction knowledge on the planet.

At BIM Show Live 2019, it was double success for Digital Node Founder and Director, Rebecca De Cicco as she was crowned BIM Personality of the Year at the BIM Awards and delivered her talk on the global impact of the new ISO 19650 standard.

At Digital Node, we provide you with the most recent, relevant and accurate information, and insight in to the world of BIM and digital construction, that’s what we love the most, being at the cutting edge of BIM delivery and helping others make it happen.

For us, BIM Show Live is the pinnacle of BIM knowledge-exchange and in February we wouldn’t want to be part of anything else.

On Tuesday 26 February, the BIM Awards 2019 crowned the BIM-elite, announcing winners which included the best BIM Projects, Contractors, Designers and Consultants. The final award of the night was for the BIM Personality of the Year and this was awarded to Rebecca.

Rob Charlton, CEO of Space Group and co-founder of BIM Show Live said: “Rebecca is an incredible people and what she has achieved in the last few years is remarkable. For this she is to be applauded, Rebecca was the logical choice for our BIM Awards BIM Personality of the year.

“Rebecca has single handily built Digital Node into a global business, taking BIM to businesses throughout the world and facilitating new BIM adoption. She works with international governments and writes training packages for corporate giants, to up-skill their teams in digital construction methodology. Not to mention her work in founding Women in BIM and championing the agenda for gender empowerment in our industry. Rebecca is a true industry leader.”

Rebecca added: “It is a great honour to have received the BIM Personality of the Year Award at BIM Show Live 2019 this year! It is amazing to be recognised in industry by fellow leaders for all the hard work and dedication I have put in through the years. As the longest running BIM show in the UK, I am thankful that BIM Show Live has recognised me and this is an incredible achievement.”

After the BIM Awards, followed the two-day BIM conference, where global BIM-professionals gathered for new experiences, to learn about new standards and engage in next generation technological experiences.

Rebecca commented: “I have been attending BIM Show Live since it first began in 2011, and have seen it grow into a fountain of all BIM-knowledge, everything new in the world of BIM takes place at BIM Show Live! That’s why it was the perfect place to discuss what’s happening in the development of the new ISO 19650 standard. At my talk I introduced what this standard means to the UK, but just as importantly what it means to businesses in other regions throughout the world and the importance of unity and standardisation. A common group for BIM operationally means greater synergy across the supply chain.”
